Shield wire is to eliminate the noise pickup in the signal
wire due to magnetic interference from the near by
source
Panel or JB side shield to be earthed but Instrument side
no need to do earth (cut the shield and tape).

when placing a vent or drain hole on an orifice plate should you measure from the center of the bore up or down for the vent placement?
