if we install new energy recovery systems like
preheter, economiser and make boiler tube effective
insulated from enviorment then we can achive higher
efficency, but it increces installation cost and system will
be uneconomic.

If all the heat is added at a single highest temp of heat
addition, efficiency of cycle will increase. it is
regeneration only.

waste heat recovery such as installation of air-preheater,
economiser is the best way to increase the efficiency of
power plant whose istallation donot alter the effort of
power plant..

Answer / praveen
efforts means input.
we can increase the efficiency by either inter cooling ,
regeneration or reheating. since input is to be kept constant
efficiency can be increased by regeneration or reheating.

Answer / prateek namdeo
We have to increase the inlet pressure & Temp. of steam, but
it tends to increase the expansion ratio & steam becomes
wet which causes erosion of turbine blades. So that we use
Reheating & Regeneration technique.

Answer / shiva
Efficiency of the Power plant can be increased by reducing
the heat losses occurring at different systems of the power
plant. The Boiler has heat loss, the heat is lost in the
Economiser, the heat is lost in the Air Pre heater and
ESP.In additon to this there is heat in the chimney taken
away by the flue gases. Hence by reducing these losses, the
efficiency of the power plant can be improved.
Since Efficiency
= Output(steam Geneartion)/Input(Heat in the Fuel)
