Thanks for correcting me. But dont you think that power also
depends on combustion ? Think it practically, if most of the
fuel combust then it exerts more pressure on piston, and
more amount of power you get. This is what i am thinking.

because in petrol engines the spark ignition produces a
faster stroke hence more power is produced,whereas in C.I
engines this is absent.

I think you are all wrong. A diesel engine will produce more
power then a gas engine due to higher compression

Assalam o alaikum.
In my opinion the rate of power depends on combustion. In
S.I engines more amount of fuel get burnt as compare to
diesle engine. The more the feul burnt the more amount of
power you get. If you think that my answer is wrongs so
please tell me i will be thankfull.

Because in a Petrol Engine (SI Engine), there is 1 power
stroke in every revolution of the crank shaft. But in a
diesel engine (CI Engine) there is 1 power stroke in every
2 revolutions of the crank shaft.
