How can we find out earth leakage,(shock)in side the house?..
(with out ELCB)

We can find it simply with the help of a testlamp.
(1)Disconnect the earth line from earth plate or earth pipe.
(2)Connect one wire of the testlamp to the neutral.
(3)Touch the second wire of the testlamp to the doubted
areas.
(4)Continue the test by changing the two leads of the
testlamp.

similar to answer 1 instead of a test lamp connect a volt
meter in between the equipment frame and earth .good non
leaking equipment would have no voltage between them. A
higher voltage means higher leakage. pls dont forget to
connect back the earth connection after your test.

In 110V DC supply,if a closed circuit gets open, How can we identify the voltage which is measured after the resistor(4KOhm) which is open with negative.it shows 55V +ve when measured, also the actual positive source is 55V +ve .Because there is no voltage drop in open circuit. How can we identify whether this is the voltage which is series with the resistor or the DC source direct +ve.
