1) As we are measuring the water content in a compound and
it is 100% pure so we can use water to calibrate KFR.
2) DST is the only substance with 100% purity which can
dissolve in Methanol without changing its charactarestic of
15.66 water.

KF Reagent equivalence Factor always be calculated with water on daily basis which is the write procedure because we know that water we are using is 100% pure.
Now DST used to standardize the instrument functioning, therefore to establish the facts like instruments sensitivity, Electrode response etc. can be established through titrating DST a primary standard. In such a way we can establish the instrument is in correct working conditions.
If there is difference in the value of water content in DST means instrument functioning is doubtful & need proper CAPA.

Di sodium tartrate di hydrate is having 15.66% and in the
process of di sodium tartrate di hydrate only water is used
as solvent(Other solvents are not used). then it contains
only water as moisture content.
