Why only Water & Sodium Tatrate Is Use For THe Calibration
Of Karl Fischer Titrator?

Answer Posted / vinay dagar

KF Reagent equivalence Factor always be calculated with water on daily basis which is the write procedure because we know that water we are using is 100% pure.

Now DST used to standardize the instrument functioning, therefore to establish the facts like instruments sensitivity, Electrode response etc. can be established through titrating DST a primary standard. In such a way we can establish the instrument is in correct working conditions.

If there is difference in the value of water content in DST means instrument functioning is doubtful & need proper CAPA.
