Whenever we see in oscilloscope. the dc value .e.g if 3V
will become the axix and the Ac voltage will move to that
point .
whatever the dc voltage will be . AC will follow the Dc line.

The AC voltage is the voltage between the phase and
the neutral. If the neutral is mixed with DC then you can
observe a shift in the AC voltage with the specified dc
line voltage as reference axis. But if the phase is mixed with the DC line then there will short ckt. And the fault current flow through the DC and AC lines.

When the AC and Dc is mixed, there will be a shift. if the
+Dc is mixed, the ac will be shifted upward and -DC will
shift the AC downward. this can be seen using oscilloscope.
the shift will be depending on the magnitude of DC.

This is similar to phenomenon called CLAMPING the ac signal's magnitude is increased by dc magnitude,i.e it shifts above reference axis. . .

We know that ac current also contain dc part or parameter.
but in practical case when any dc supply mixed with an ac
supply then a abnormal situation will occur and system will
be unstable.but small quantity of dc may carry or used with
ac system.

if both AC and DC supply will mixed then the resultant
supply will become DC with pusating nature depend upon the
magnitude of the both the supplies.
