we used only SF6 circit braker not SF6 vaccume ckt braker.
some year ago Air blast circit braker was also used.

now we are using sf6 fild out door circuit breker, like
abb , areva, simens are manufactur.

In this regards,first of all let us know what type of 400KV
substation it was????is it 1.Air insulated Substation
or 2.GAs Insulated Substation.
In Gas Insulated Sub station SF6 is the insulation medium
and SF6 Circuit Breaker is used.

Above 66KV SF6 circuit breaker is used and below 66KV ACB
is used.
