How ships are protected from lightning?

How ships are protected from lightning?..

Answer / er. ankush miglani 0971815107

A DEVICE CALLED MAST IS USED FOR THAT.
IT IS LOCATED AT THE TOP OF THE SHIP.
THIS MAST IS CONNECTED TO A GROUND PLATE AT THE BOTTOM OF
THE SHIP.
THIS GROUND PLATE THEN PASSES THE CURRENT TO THE SEA WATER
WHICH THEN TO D SEA EARTH AS SEA WATER IS A VERY GOOD
CONDUCTOR.
THE MAST ALSO PROVIDES SOME ANGLE TO THE LIGHTNING WAVE
WHICH DIVERTS THE WAVE DIRECTLY TO SEA WATER.
