ANS is star with neutral and delta.For harmonics effect to
be minimum we must provide a closed path for harmonics in
phases so that they circulate only in phases and does not
enter into line.Hence harmonic effect is less in delta
connection than in star connection.In star star connection
ti provide closed for harmonics neutral is grounded

If one 10 Hp 3phase induction motor connected in 380volt 50Hz. and again its connected to 380volt 60Hz. howmuch currrent and power take on both time?????

I have a small system with two motors that are running on 380 vac, 60 hz. These motors are expensive and I usally get them from Brazil. I am adding another motor to the system, but I want to purchase a 480 vac, 60 hz motor to use. It will be on a VFD that is rated fro 380 thru 480. Is this posible and will I have to use a larger motor and derate it?
