Only SSC could tell u what was the cut off marks for
appearing in the interview of the CGL 2006, as it has not
been declared yet. But if u r wise enough don't appear for
CGL mains. Because it could so happen that before final
result is out (which will not be before late 2011)there
could be a Indo-Pak war n the Pakis could Nuke our cities n
we will be reduced to smokes along with all ur dreams. So
better go for bank, business or any thing else but say no to
SSC.

hi sanjeev,
i am deepak selected in tax assistant 2007
in excise dep. can you please tell me what is the status of
tax assistant and working conditions etc and also the
corruption money involved.
dont anybody have any relation in ssc delhi office at some
officer post who can tell some truth about the ssc result
date.(cgl 2006).

My aggregate score was 410 which was much less than what
was needed for selection that was 453 for inspector.

As you said you have been selected for Excise Department,
but I am working in Income Tax. Anyhow I would like to say
that working as a Tax Assistant is better option as far is
promotional aspects are concerned. As far as corruption is
concerned, you should not think much about this. You have
got a good option, just join the department and try to
learn the job and that will certainly beneficial for you in
long run.
