if silica is removed from DM Plant completely from where the silica come in Boiler Drum..

Answer / himanshu purohit

Generally Three type of silica found.(1)suspended (2)
Reactive(which can react with chemical, that is why we can
analysis in laboratory and it is removed by anion
exchanger) (3)non-reactive or colloidal.(can not react with
chemical so that not analysis in lab.and not removed by
anion exchanger.it pass through the anion exchanger)

in high pressure and temp.non-reactive/colloidal silica
converts into reactive silica.

if silica is removed from DM Plant completely from where the silica come in Boiler Drum..

Answer / sandeeppa

Silica is never completely removed in DM Plant. It is still present though in very low concentration. When we feed this DM water to Boiler Drum, its concentration gradually increases. When it reaches to undesirable limit, we use external treatments like phosphate conditioning followed by effective blowdown. And the silica concentration is maintained to a limit so that it prevent to carry to STG.

collidal silica still rest in DM water will cause for
silica also there will be air ingrease in condenser it also
lead to increase the silica.

if silica is removed from DM Plant completely from where the silica come in Boiler Drum..

Answer / rao dv

The silica in ionic form (also reactive silica) is removed by strong base anion exchanger effectively. The traces coming out from DM PLANT and colloidal silica which is not removed by SBA EXCHANGER will be carried to the boiler drum. At the boiler operational pressures, the colloidal form will be converted to reactive form. Thus appears in boiler drum.

if silica is removed from DM Plant completely from where the silica come in Boiler Drum..

Answer / dilip kumar banerjee

Other than the role played by non-reactive silica, the
slipage of dissolved salts cannot be ruledout..Every plant
works on a fixed efficiency beyond that it is not able to
remove dissolved salts. Silica is also a part of the
dissolved salts in water hence some dissolved silicates also
pass through in the process of demineralisation.

if silica is removed from DM Plant completely from where the silica come in Boiler Drum..

Answer / naseeb ahmeds

silica will be present in the boiler drum in the form of
corrosive material and dust partical beacause they all
contains some part of dissolve silica.
