THE BP DEVELOPED IN THE ENGINE IS DEPEND UPON THE AMOUNT OF
CHARGE ENTERING IN TO THE CYLINDER (VOLUMETRIC EFFICIENCY).
WE CAN DEVELOP THIS VOLUMETRIC EFFICIENCY BY TWO METHODS
1) SUPER CHARGING
2) TURBO CHARGING
SUPERCHARGING MEANS IT WILL COMPRESS THE AIR IN
COMPRESSOR, BEFORE SENDING INTO THE CYLINDER BY UTILIZING
THE POWER DEVELOPED BY THE ENGINE.
TURBO CHARGING MEANS ALSO SAME, BUT IT UTILIZES THE EXHAUST
GASES TEMPERATURE TO RUN THE COMPRESSOR.

Answer / franco ambrose s
Supercharging is the process of increase the inlet air
pressure.actually supercharging method is done in gasonline
(petrol engine )here separate battery is needed to compress
the inlet pressure.because the exhaust gas wont be high
pressure as in diesel engine.

Answer / franco ambrose s
It is used in gasoline engine which is used to increase the
inlet pressure of air before it gets
compressed.supercharger is coupled with crank shaft to give
the power to the compressor to compress the inlet air
