what are the types of Distribution transformer vector group please explain..

Answer / amit3456

vector group shows the phase shift between winding, if it
is yndn11 it means primary is star and secondary in delta
and since the difference between star and delta is
30degree, so 360 is divided by 30 deg, it will divide in 11
posn.

Is This Answer Correct ?    8 Yes 6 No

what are the types of Distribution transformer vector group please explain..

Answer / john khan

In YNyn11(say), the capital letters represent HV Winding,
so YN means Star Configuration with a Neutral on HV side.
Similarly, yn means on LV side we also have Star
Configuration with Neutral. the number 11 is the phase
difference between primary and secondary. like on a clock
the difference between each hour is 30°. similarly 11
signifies 330° or -30°. that means LV leads HV with 30°.
