Transformer oil is nothing but it is a "pure hydrocarbon mineral oil"(the colour of oil is "pale-yellow colour").
1)It provides "insulation and cooling".
2)It is free from moisture(Due to moisture..the dielectric strength will be decreases,for avoiding moisture we use "silica gel breather")
