the difference between both of them is that ac works on the
principle of electromagnetic induction whille dc works on da
principle that when a current carrying coil is placed in a
magnetic field it experiences a couple due to which coil
rotes,,,secondly the former converts mechanical into
electric energy while the later converts mechanical into
electrical energy

The generator which produce alternative current is AC
generator.
which produce direct current is DC generator.The main
different is the winding of armature.
