The fundamentals of Indian economy are quite strong. RBI
acts as godfather for the banks in india. though there will
be a feel of it in the IT secors as the investment bankers
were top clients of the IT giants such as INFY , in the
realty sector as Lehman too had an exposutre of $500
million in Indian real estate in mumbai and other places.

there will be a hard impact on the indian economy as lehman
bros. were not only the biggest investment banks in
America,big Indian industries were also having dealings
with them on a large scale.Their bankruptcy has given a
setback to American economy which indirectly means an
adverse impact on Indian economy.
E.g-Textile industry is facing stiff problems due to cut
off of orders by America.
About 60% of the indian Bpo sector outsources business of
american companies,which is badly hit by this incidence.

as the us was facing crisis in 1929 due to fall in stock
prices, the lehman bros putforth its step as a initiative
to boom up the funds to the companies around the world. so
the scope of lehman bros is very vast around the world in
the same sense,the major indian companies and stock markets
have strong dealings with lehman bros,that was not
continued after collapse and its a great loss in
revenues,outsoursing,job oppurtunities,consultancies etc
especially to the investors and companies these are the
major factors affected towards indian economy.
