Between Star-Delta & Star-Star Power transformer which one
is efficent for Earth Fault?

Answer / daher
star/star because in the case of line to earth faults the
zero curret IO in delta connection transformer has no path
to leave the close loop of three phases transformer

star delta .
because in star star connection solidal grounding should be
provided to ground third harmonics. in star delta whenever
afault will occur then it will circulate only in this delta
not go to the output

Star - Star bcz.. it has a point at center which can be
used as a neutral or can be grounded,
but in case of star-delta there is no path for ground
return current during short circuit..an the circulating
current will flow inward itself and can damage the winding..

Star star because for earth fault return path is required to complete the circuit so neutral grounded star connection is ideal for such type of fault detection..

star/star in case of line to ground short circuit in star -
delta transformer their is no path to I0 short circuit
current and it will turn inside the closed circuit of delta
connection

Will it be OK to connect a 5MVA 33/6.6kV Ynd11 Transformer to a Star connected Motor. Or on other words connecting a Delta to a Star. I have another 30MVA 33/11 Dyn11 and would it be practical to convert it to Dd0 consequently converting the Voltage Ratio to 33/6.35kV Dd0.

I am using submission of two ct in one and half scheme for 67/67N protection. Both CTs star point is grounded separately near ct box. Will two point ground give wrong tripping to 67/67N during fault or no matter.
