8085 has CISC architecture.
1. 8086 has 20 address lines and 16 data lines. the size of
8086 flag is 16 bit long.
2. lower byte of this flag is identical to 8085 flag
register.
3.8086 architecture mainly divided in to two units BIU AND
EU.
4. 8086 has rich set of instructions

Answer / archana
major diff:-8085 is a 16*8 bit pro,8086:-20*16 bit pro
minor diff:-8085 does not hv pipeline concept nd multiply and divide instuctions, whereas 8086 hv dose concepts.

8085 is von neumann architecture wer the data and code are stored in same address space whereas in 8086 the memory is diveided into segments(16 logical segments) so there is a clear distinction between code and data.
8085 is 8 bit processor with 16 address lines whereas 8086 is 16 bit processor with 20 address lines
8085 doesn't support pipelining-prefecthing next instruction and storing in a queue(6 byte length)while cpu executes current instruction- whereas 8086 supports.
8085 can address only 2^16 bytes.. where as 8086 capable of addressing 2^20 byte of memory..

the major difference is the 8085 have 16 bit address bus
whereas 8086 have 32 bit address bus.there is no seperate
instruction set for multiplication and division for 8085.it
is not so in 8086.
