because transformer depends on voltage and current v*i not
a depend of how much power is transfer so thats why its
rating in KVA.

because trasformer is connected to supply resistive lode
inductive lode &capaitive load .the power factor for those
load is different (lag or leding )it worked apperent power.
the unit of apperent power is volt-aamper.that why
transformer rated in kva.
(its my knowledge)

because Transformer has Two winding.It becomes very hot
while in running condition.So a considerable amount of heat
loss occured.So the loss in Kw may vary.So Kw rating is
avoided and Kva rating is given in Transformer nameplate.

transformer dosent consume power.it just step up/down the
voltage.thats why transformer mentioned in kva

because its load is variable. and motor load is
continuously so we measure in KW. and Trans. measure in Kva.

The unit of voltage in Volts
The unit of current in Amperes
When the energy transfer from primary ciruit to secondary
circuit power is constant. there is no involvement of power
factor. Due to this transformer rating in KVA not in KW

of energy will be rated in KVA like Transformer,stabilizer
etc

Hi all, please could anybody give me a suggestion about Electrical designs and calculations .. what text book should i follow as i am a trainee engineer and here work going not so favorable to me so please help me friends .. A small discription about my work which is going here is all about Electrical designs like cable sizing, lighting, lightning, Gensets sizing, motor sizing, transformer sizing, generator sizing, circuit breakers, PDB MCC PCC SLDB MLDB panels, Single line diagrams mainly, substation desings, cable routing and layouts, reactive power compensations, power factor improvement, voltage drop calculations, power generations, power transmission, power distributions all calculations i need .. please please if anybody experienced with this problem and got a solution then please help me .. just i need an apt text book for these all calculations and designs ..
