Hi,
I have done my Engg in Mechanical and passed out in 2006.I
have been working with a MNC and on the project for past 14
months. I am going to file my L1. I wanted to know whether
i am eligible or not and if so will my engineering in
mechanical engg will be a constraint in getting visa.

Hi,
branch is not a concern to traell USA.You are aligible to
travell to USA.
Just they will ask some questions about your client and
roles and responsiblities over there for the project.And
how long you will be there....these questions they will
sak..

As far as I know, you are eligible. Also your Mechnical
Engg is not going to be constraint if you are going for L1
Individual. For L1 Blanket Visas it is sometimes problem.

Being in a proj is not a matter of eligibility. Check
whether u are eligible for the L1 visa type.. guess it is
only for the comp science dept...

Right now I am working in India. I got an offer from a Company in US and they sponsored for my H1b and my petition was selected in the random selection. The Company A has told me to join them only after getting H1b i.e. in Oct'07. Simultaneously, my current company is filing L1B for me. My current company will be sending me to US as and when L1B comes. I don’t want to let go US Company offer which depends on me getting H1b in Oct. My Question is, papers for H1b is filed in Apr'07 by US Company, if papers for L1b will be filed now, what will happen to my L1B and H1B status? can i ahve both stamped? What will happen to my L1B if they process now.What i meant was that papers of L1B and H1b are being processed at the same year?

Hi, I have my visa interview next month. My passport will expire on 11/2010. My father name in passport Achupha where as in all certificates it is Achutha. In first name in first name instead of T it is given as P in 5t character. Will it be a problem for Visa. i have completed my degree in (BZC) group and after i have finished my pgdca. Now i am working in a company as a programmer analyst and i have been paying the tds tax since one year.
