since the system is designed with a standard frequency say
50Hz or 60 Hz, if the frequency goes low, the following
effects will happen:
1. induction motor will run with low speed and consume more
current.
2. transmission cost/losses will be more.
3. capacitive reactance will be more.
4. metering device will record more power

based on the V/F if frequency is less there is some
unbalance voltage flows through it(over flux occured) it
will cause the motor to run slowly and whenever unbalance
condition occurs the motor will take unbalance load so the
winding will be heated and thermal losses occur.s if v use
the relay to rectify this problem. Use overflux protection
for motor and overcome this fault. whenever frequency or
voltage gets unbalanced the relay will trip and isolate the
motor from the fault.

simple answer lower the frequency lower the voltage
supplied and will result in power losses.
