IN Diode the AC And DC current can use as a input only the forward bias direction but in Rectifiers AC can only use as input.
In rectifier in the input Transformer is required but in diode
in the input transformer is not required.

if you want to rectify one phase then you can use diode as
it has one input one output.
But if you want to rectify three phase input you got to use
rectifier as it has 3 inputs 3 outputs.
as seen in rectification process they are the same.

what is the exact direction of current? as we know current travels from higher potential to lower potential,so if we take battery +ve to -ve implies current direction is from positive terminal to negative terminal.,whereas electrons flow from negative to positive as they are attracted by positive ions.current will be the plow of charge but not flow of positive ions.please clarify my doubt friends.
