can we step up dc power using transformer?

Answer / sarthak sahani
no a dc cannot be used with the transformers as because dc has zero frequency due to which ther is no change in magnetic flux linked with the secondary coil .......as a result of which there is no induced emf in the secondary coil hence no output.
moreover a dc can't be used as it has zero frequency it offers very less resistance due to which current flow increases resulting harm to the primary coil.........

It will be a dead short circuit when we connected DC supply
the Primary of a transformer,because there will be no self
inductance property for a conductor in DC .But there is a
alternative to step up the DC power using transformer ie
using converters or by amplifiers.
