An Use case is a Business Scenario it is given in the
Functional document.
We have to prepare the Scenario then we can write the
Test Cases.

An Use case is an elaborative document about customer
requirements. Use case will be prepared by the Team
Lead(Test Lead) category people with the help of a business
Analyst.For the use cases we (testers) have to prepare the
test scenarios and from the test scenarios we will derive
the test cases.Use Case is more elaborative document when
compared to Functional Specification.So that a developers
and testers can understand clearly what the customer is is
really looking for.
