ACTIVE COMPONENTS
The components which produce the energy in the form of
current or voltage are called as active components.
Example:transistors etc,.
PASSIVE COMPONENTS
The components which stores the energy in the form of
current or voltage are called as passive components.
example:inductors,resistors,capacitors etc,.

active components are that type of components which
required some bias voltage to operate.
EX - transistor,integrated circuit.
passive components are that type of components which
doesn't required bias voltage to operate.
EX - resistor,capacitor,inductor.

Active componenets need External power supply to bring them
in working condition where as passive component doesnt need
external power suppy to bring them in working contion.

passive components:resistors,inductors,capacitors are the
main passive components.these components by themselves are
not capable of amplifying or processing an electrical signal
but these are important in electronic circuit.
Active components:There are many active components used
electrical circuits with out the aid of this components we
cant amplify the signals.these components produce the energy
in the form of current and voltage.

Active components are componets whcih requires DC and
raises energy level
Ex:Amplifier,Voltage sources
Passive components are components whcih consumes energy
Ex:Electircal Bulb,Transmission lines,Load whcih consumes
energy

Active components:The components which require external
supply for their opertion.
eg:Transistor,OP-AMP.
Passive components:The components which do not require any
external supply for their opertion.
eg:Resistor,Inductor,Capacitor.

Answer / somesh gilani
Active components have ability to produce gain.
Example transistors,Scrs, Fets etc
Passive components do not have ability to produce gain
Example Resistors,capacitors etc.

Answer / as.gokul nath
Active component:
1)The active component are capable for amplifying on
processing an electrical signal.
2) The required an external force for there processing
e.g. transistors, tube devices(vacuum tubes).
passive components:
1) The passive component are not capable for processing.
2)It does not required any external force for there
processing
e.g. Resistors, capacitor, inductor, oscillator, led's, etc.

Answer / samad
active components are ; this comonents can work one or mor
function through a voltage applied to it. such as
amplyfying, oscilation, moswitching etc
but passive components are helping components for working
of active components such as current
controling,filtering,storing etc

Passive compnents are
1. resistor, 2. capacitor, 3. induction coil.
Definition: These modify the flow of current in a circuit
and have a FIXED value, which does not change from the time
of fixing on to circuit, throughout the LIFETIME of the
circuit which is about ten years on average.
Active components are
1. 1N diodes, 2N bipolar transistors, 3N feild effect
transistor >3N (4N etc) thyristors, silicon controlled
rectifiers, etc. The letter N denotes N type semiconductor,
and 1, 2 etc represent the number of junctions.
Definition: These modify the flow of current in a circuit
and have VARYING FUNCTION values. The variation of
function of an active component may be AUTOMATIC, such as
an operational amplifier automatically switches ON or
switches OFF a circuit based on the input condition in the
circuit (e.g. Voltage Stabilizer relay switching), or it
may be MANUALLY varied, such as the tranistors that I am
switching ON and OFF right now to provide you with binaries
that are translated automatically toconvey this infor to
