Answer / jayaram
active components means
.these components are process the signals
.increasing the strength of weak signal
.active components are activates internally
.it will produce more gain than the input
.these are used in modulation ckts
.used in ative satellites
.whih required bias voltage
ex;fet,mosfet,transister etc
passive components means
.these components are passes the signals from one
place to another place
.it does't contain any process
.it will produce gain equal to iput
.used in active satellites
.used in between one ckt other ckts
.does't not bias voltage
ex;resisters,capacitors,inductors

active component
- is the main component which is used in any circuits. It
will functions as amplifier or regulator.Such as ic and
transistor.this component is very sensitive to damaged.
passive component
- is the second component which is support the main
component to function in any circuits.such as
resistor,capacitor,inductor snd diode.

ACTIVE COMPONENTS
The components which produce the energy in the form of
current or voltage are called as active components.
Example:transistors etc,.
PASSIVE COMPONENTS
The components which stores the energy in the form of
current or voltage are called as passive components.
example:inductors,resistors,capacitors etc,.

Active component which produce the energy in the form of
current and voltage.
Passive component which produce the energy in the form of
current resistors.

Answer / hardeep singh
1) Passive components are ones which cannot introduce net energy into the circuit they are connected to. example: resistors, capacitors, inductors, and most sorts of diodes.
2) Active components rely on a source of energy (usually from the DC circuit, which we have chosen to ignore) and are usually able to inject power into a circuit. example: transistors and tunnel diodes.

Answer / brijen somaiya
Passive components are components that don't require power
being applied in order for them to work. A transformer would
be considered an active component because it requires power
to operate, while a capacitor, resistor and similar items
are considered passive, and many perform multiple functions.
For instance, a capacitor will pass AC while storing DC, a
resistor can be used to limit voltage or current, etc.

Answer / ankita
active elements which generate or produce electrical energy are called active elements. e.g.batteries, generators, energy sources voltage & current source, properly biased transistors, operational amplifier, dynamos, alternators, integrated circuits, diodes,SCR, diac, triac,FET,MOSFET, TUBE DEVICES ETC while passive elements which consume rather than generate or produce electrical enargy are called passive elements. e.g.resistors,capacitors,inductors, LED'S,oscillators, electric bulb, transmission lines, load which consumes energy etc
