profiles are used to change the way of application running
there are two types profiles
personal profile:we can't change the profile values
ex:userid,username,respname,respid...
system profile:we can change the profile values
ex:mo:operatingunit,mfg:organization_id,hr:user_type........

Profile is an option which will change the way of
application running.we can set the profile value at 4 levels



1.user

2.responsiblity

3.application

4.site




Site : if we set the profile at site level that will
applicable all the users.



Application : If we set the profile value as application it
will applicable to the user who r having access to that
specific application.if user is having both access to site
and application level. application will overwrite site level.



Responsiblity : If we set the profile value as responsiblity
that will applicable to the users who r having access to the
specific responsiblity.
if user having access to site application responsiblity.
then responsiblity will overwrite the site application.



User : User is top most level.

if we set profile value as user.if user having access to
site application responsibility user. then user will
overwirte site application responsibility.

1. when we r doing interface/conversion which things u will take care to improve the perfrmonce?(except bulk collect) 2. In conversion,u r loading the data using sql*loader,I dnt want to use sql*loader,& i have millions of records,Id der any way to load the data withing fraction of time considering best performance. 3.
