I went for the H1B Interview and it went like this.


Consulate: Hey Good Morning.
Me & W: Very good Morning to you.
Consulate: How are you doing.
Me & W: I am doing Good, thank you.
Consulate: Can I have you passport please?
Me: Sure.
Consulate: In which Company you are gonna work in US?
Me: "XYZ"
Consulate: How long you want to stay in US.
Me: I am gonna stay there for one year, and after that I
will come back to India.
Consulate: Who is your concern person from your company.
Me: "XYZ"
Consulate: Might ask some Project related question like
(Name of the Project, Roles, Designation, Technology,
etc...)
Consulate: Are you Married?
Me: Yes.
Consulate: When did you get Married?
Me: Its Exactly two Months.
Consulate: Oh Really, Congratulation.
Me: Thank you very much
Consulate:Do you love your wife?
Me: Yes, Very Much.
Consulate: Do you Love him (Husband)
W: ya I do and very much.
Consulate: What do you like most in your wife?
Me: Her Eyes
Consulate: What do you like most in your Husband.
W: He is very caring, helping, who always takes care of
mine and as a person he is really a perfect one.
Consulate: It Seems you are getting nervous, but she is
not. Is it?
Me: No I am okay. I am fine, I am not getting nervous.
Consulate: Ok Allright.
Me: :) :)

Consulate: Thank you very much, you will be receiving your
passport within 5 working days, have a good day :).

Me & W: Thank You very much and same to you :).



It was I believe 7-8 mins of interview, and we all set. You
can collect your passport on the same day from the VFS
office(Mumbai) or if not then it will be sent to you on
your address mentioned on DS/156-157 Document.

Hi,

Consult people doesn't ask anything related to technical,
They ask about the client information and what is your role
and responsiblity...this should be fine to get Visa
Stamped..

Questions are straightforward

Answer
Working for JDJ company. thats all.

But, some people will say " I am going to US to develop the
application for ABC client".

Be specific, don't be nervous.

Hi,
take all the papers you got from your Employer like
Client Letter or Product Specification, Tax Papers of
USA Employer.
Be Confident at the Interview .

Hi!
Its not neccessary that the honourable consulate will
not ask technical questions, it only happens when u make
him not clear or satisfy the first 2-3 questions that what
role u r going to play in US company, and what u r doing in
current co.

I've planned to carry the following documents in my H1B interveiw on sep-18th. HDFC receipt, visa Interview letter, I797, I129, Offer Letter, Client agreement doc, all original certificates, all company offer letter and relieving orders, payslip. Could anyone please let me know whether this is sufficient or i have to carry anyother doc's.

1. I am currently working at CompanyA in L1B visa, I am going to apply H1B visa through CompanyB in March 2013. If the H1B Visa got approved, what is the proper procedure to get relieved from company A and join company B ? Will there be any legal issues? 2. I am going to apply for H1B Visa next month. My L1B visa going to expire in April 2013. Can I go to India while H1B in process and get H1B from India?
