The developer changes the status of the bug as 'Deferred' it means the bug is expected to be fixed in the next releases.
The reasons for changing the bug to this state have many factors. Some of them are
1)priority of the bug may below
2)lack of time for the release or
3)the bug may not have major effect on the software

How can World Wide Web sites be tested?
It will be a great help if any one will help on this issue, Three test cases got faied [TC#1, 2 and 3] and all are there in the same TestScript. For all the three failed testcases a bug is logged refrencing to the three failed testcase. In Next round of validation out of three two TC#2 and 3 got PASSED and TC#1 FAILED. I am confusssed if in this scenario if i mark the PASSED test case as PASS OR FAIl, as the the Defect will have BOTH PASS and FAIl at the same time. Please clarify How to handel this scenario.
why do testing are divided into stages primarily becoz: 1) different stage has different purpose 2)Stages makes the testing simpler 3)Different test run in different environments 4)The no of stages the testing is easier Which is the option need to be chosen its urgent
