Kindly excuse me if im wrong.
Initially we do smoke testing,if the product fails here we
reject the build. Does the question of assigning severity
exists???

I agree with Raj.
When the application is not performing what they are
supposed to do, during smoke testing the build will be
rejected.

I agre with Mr.Raj
while smoke testing if application doesn't work Properly
(Main functionality like page open, windo open...) we can
say it is not a stable build then initially we should
reject that no matter of seviority or priority ok.

Do you know of metrics that help you estimate the size of the testing effort?
why is it necessary to give a priority to the test cases or/and requirements. why does the Test case ID is not sufficient to identify the test cases to be executed first.

What is the smoke testing and sanity testing..?what is the difference?
U have a Scenario and there is box to enter values from 0 to 1000. Now what is the Test data u will test? What are the positive and negative test cases? How will U use Equivalence class Partition ?
I want to know that Test Case Document contains the positive as well as negative test cases in the same sheet or we have to create different test case document for negative test cases.
