If Ly/Lx is less than or equal to 2 then it is one way slab.Similarly if Ly/Lx is Greater than 2 then it is Two way slab. (Where Ly=Longest side of slab, Lx=shortest side)

When ly/lx less than 2 than the slab will be two way slab vice versa..

ly/lx>2 one way slab &
ly/lx<2 twoway slab.

And when ratio of ly/lx is greater than 2 then one way slab

Where:- ly = longer side of slab .
lx = shorter side of slab.
