When v start the sample for its melting range test . For example we have one substance caffine . And we start to check the melting range . So by heating the caffine goes to it's thermal state and the bonding of caffine break ane they start to convert in liquid . At the end it completely melt . So the caffine start to melt at certain temperature and complete melt ar which temperature it is the meeting range of caffine
