Why we use Fuse in transformer in secondary side. Why we dont use fuse in primary side?
Answer / r n singh
The fuse size(14-36 swg) in the secondary side of the transformer is readily available in the market, whereas the fuse size for the use in the primary side ie in 11 kv will be very thick. It is very costly as well as not possible to use manually due to ever threat of electric shock. However, the AB switch is utilized in the primary side of the transformer.
