1.In which princeple DP transmeter works?
2.Why UPS system is use for DCS?
3.How drum lvel controller works?
4.What is the difference between glob valve and gate valve?
5.How axial shift probe work & in which princeple it works?
Answer / mahalingam
1.The flow meters are followed by Bernoulis therom, In the DP the flow is direct proportional to the square root of flow.
2. The use of UPS to the DCS is, the DCS request un interrupted power to continue its operation. During the time of operation if the raw power supply not be available then the entire system connected with the dcs will shutdown its operation.
3. Drum level to be controlled via three element control. feed water flow, steam flow & drum levels are the control variable.
4.Normally globe valves are used in the low pressure drop with steam,Gas, hot water application where the high accurate flow is required. whereas the gate valve gives the larger pressure drop and more flow process mediums like juice and slurry applications.
