In general it is 50 times of dia of bar. It depends the grade
of concrete, if higher grade concrete used the lap length
getting reduced.

formula for calculating the lapping length is :
(Db * Fy)/ 4tbd where ,
Db=dia of bar
Fy = stress in bar
tdb is design bond stress = 0.16 * (Fck)^2/3
