It is done by the formula 2(l+B)-deductions.
For example length of the room is 5 mts
and breath is 4 mts
then the qauntity of skirting will be 2(4+5)= 18mts.
from this subtract the deductions like doors.
if the width of the door is 1.2 mts then the final quantity will be 18-1.2=16.8 mts.

If you need a quantifier of tiles you should measure the length with measuring tape of skirting tile
For Eg: A house is having 200rft length skirting tile and tile size is 2ft *2ft, keeping 4inch as skirting tile width we get 6tiles from 1 tile so that formula is
Total rft of skirting tile / (1 tile length* No of skirting tiles from 1tile)=No of tiles
200rft/(2ft*6No)=16.667~17 no of tiles required
Eg 2: if tile size is 2ft*4ft for the same 200rft
from 1 tile we get 6 skirting tile keeping 4ft as length
200rft/(4ft*6No)=8.334~9 no of tiles required
In site conditions, 2ft*4ft tile comes in 2no in a box so that we mention as 4box and 1 piece required for skirting tiles excluding wastage percentage
