hysterisis loss is the energy loss during the magentization and demagnetization of core material in each AC cycle.
During demagnetization, when magnetizing current reduces to zero magnetic flux will not goes to zero, further current is to be supplied in -ve direction to make it zero and the same in the magnetizatin process also. This losses collectively called as hysterisis loss.
