Requirement Analysis and Test Planning are the most prominent stages of STLC. If requirements are not analyzed correctly,plan will make accordingly and test cases will also developed incorrect.

Requirement Analysis:Many cause of bugs/defects in a complex software project is to have poorly documented requirements specifications
Without such documentation, there is no way to determine if a software application is performing correctly
