What is the difference between Derived earth Fault and measured earth fault.How it works...

What i think, measured E/F is what we measure directly through a Zero-sequence C.T. or core balance CT. While derived E/F is which relay calculates from 3 c.t`s i.e vector sum of R/Y/B.
