The molecular formula of Di sodium Tartrate dihydrate is
C4H4O6Na2ยท2H2O and mwt is 230.08gm
Hence, the participation of water in this mwt is 36gm and
rest of 230.08-36= 194.08 is DST wt:
So, the theoritical %water content is calculated as under:
36 x 100/230.08= 15.64%
The tolerance in water may be between 15.4 to 16.0%.

present in it so 2*18.02
di sodium weight 230.07
that is 2*18.02/230.07=0.1566
