There are two main difference bet'n contactor and circuit braker
1) contactor is used for low voltage while CB is used for high voltage.
2) contactor only make contact between line and load.there is no tripping mechanism. while in CB is current operated device.which has a tripping mechanism.

My above answer appears to be wrong.Contactors are for
closing circuit and are to be opened manually.Circuit
breaker has a tripping (opening) mechanism and may have
closing mechanism also.

Opening and closing are done manually in case of contactors
and for cb it is electrical
