75kw drive operated motor current fluctuation
from(85-130)ampere.current setting in drive
is 130amp.sometimes motor trip when current
limit cross 130amps.I change the drive. still
current fluctuate between 80-130amps but in
this time motor not trip, current setting in
drive is 130amps.where is the problem?
Answer / mohit punjabi
the motor will not trip because as the user has change an old drive which was of 75 kw with new one so he has to set a parameter in new drive that when fluctated above 130 amps the drive should trip the motor without these parameter setting the new drive will not trip

Our Alternator nameplate specifies a power factor of 0.8. When the Alternator is on light load, the bus bar voltage rises to 11240 volts, whereas the standard value is 10500 volts. Is it ok to increase the power factor to 0.85 or 0.9. I am afraid because the power factor on the name plate is only 0.8 ?
