how can H.V busbar in a powerstation can be protected?

how can H.V busbar in a powerstation can be protected?..

Answer / amit rajak

High voltage bus bar can be protected from short circuit
fault or surges by using reactors.

These are simply an inductor which is placed at different
location or that part of circuit which is to be protected.

its principle of working is that it dissipates energy in the
form of heat when high voltage passes through it

as per the voltage of the bus bar variable reactors can be
used of variable rating.
