it should be such that a person can easily work there and depend on the width of the rear access door for the switchgear which shall be opened before accessing the rear of the panel.

Rear access is mainly required for the cable terminations.

we keep it usually 800mm to 1000mm.

refer to IEC about AFLR, it require 900mm minimal for rear side clearance and 1300mm for front panel clearance, and 600mm for  ceiling
