How to calculate 47Liter H2 Gas cyilnder consumtion?
Cylinder inlet Pressure is 200bar and Discharge pressure
is 6.0bar. Flow is 100ml/min.For the above condition how
many days one cylinder can be used?
Answer / vikash suthar
As per Boyls law PV= Constant.
So, inside pressure1 and volume1 is 200bar and 47 liter,and
out side pressure2 is 6 bar ,volume2 to get at 6 bar.
p1v1=p2v2
200x47=6 x v2.
v2=200x47/6=1566 ltr volume.
now out side flow at 6 bar pressure is 100ml/min=6 lt/hr.
now if 6ltr passesin one hour then 1566ltr in how much hour.
so,261 hrs will be taken to empty the cylinder.
and that is 10.8 days.
