Why do we use badarpur or crusher sand with coarse
aggregate in a concrete mix?
Answer / jitendergb
Coarse aggregate is always broken in unequal shapes it
helps in making interlocking in between all concrete mix,
but there remain empty space in between coarse aggregate
with out fine aggregate or sand like badarpur or crusher
sand, so just to fill the space and preventing concrete
from honeycombing and air pocketing in concrete mix we
always use badarpur sand or crusher sand in concrete mix.
Cement can not fullfill this empty space.
