why 3phase is 440v but where as we get phase voltage 220v,we
have to get 220*3=660v.can u pleas give in detailed

Its the root mean square value, not simple 3*220V. Means
root 3 * 220.

Basically phase to phase voltage gives 440 and phase to
neutral gives 220. we can get 440 even with two phase. It
doesn't mean three phase supply should be 660. Reliablity
is more if we have three phase instead of two phase.

devide by root 3 to phase volts for getting line voltage
here phase to phase voltage is 440 volts . so will get 254
volts as phase to neutral volts
