You should not dry the DST , because the hydrated water
malocules will gets off if you do so.

It is not necessary to dry dst for factor
determination.Sometimes RSD is not achieve that why anybody
can dry or crushed dst

if u dry that DST The polar compound of water will gets
off,but methanol also polar nature.thats why no use if u
dry.means we r using that convertion factor i.e 0.1566
