by the formula of capacitor we can conclude that first we known
the formula of capacitance : 1/(2 pai f c) if in case the
capacitor connect to AC it has frequency of 50Hz, a little bit
capacitance offers to ac so it allows to Ac.In case of DC it
does not has frequency it means zero frequency then
automatically the infinite capacitance offers to DC so the
capacitor blocks the DC....

simple answer
capacitors are used in pcb ckts that work on dc for ample
of reasons. some of these are
1- filtering ac to get dc waveform(due to the fact that
cap. charging and discharging rates are different)
2- most imp. cap. produce energy bursts that is required
in some apps.
3- cap. is used for charge pumping in most of apps
4- cap. sometimes is used along with a resistor as a
SNUBBER ckt(to protect our imp components from sudden
voltage spikes)
simple expt to show second point.....
requirements..
a battery(9v), two switches, one led
connect bat. to cap via switch one and led to switch 2
(both in parallel to cap.
close sw1 and open sw2( ie cap is charging) after 3-5 mins
when cap is charged to some value open sw1 anddd nowww
close sw2...
what do u see??????
led glows for a while and then turns offf
conclusion- cap produce energy bursts
